An extra edition of the new initiative "Small Art a Week," which involves creating at least one experimental small piece of artwork every week. "Small Art a Week"
A project called Small Art a Day Tour, where artworks are created on-site while traveling.
This piece was created when I went to Paris in November 2022 for a group exhibition.
It's based on a postcard I found while strolling through Paris celebrating the New Year.
The postcard had joyful New Year's greetings written on it such as "Super Bonne Année (Happy New Year)" and "Santé au Top (Top Health)."
On that day, amidst a light rain, I bought souvenir ribbons at a popular Japanese craft store called Ultramod, then walked to my favorite gallery, Galleria Continua, to see their exhibition, and strolled around the area near the Pompidou Centre.
It was in a souvenir shop that I stumbled upon this vibrant postcard and immediately fell in love with it, prompting me to purchase it.
With so many celebratory words, it's perfect for New Year's gifts.
