This is an extra edition piece of the new initiative "Small Art a Week", which aims to create at least one experimental small artwork every week.
It's part of the project "Small Art a Day Tour," where small artworks are created locally while traveling. This piece was created in November 2022 during a trip to Paris for a group exhibition.
The Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac in Paris had an amazing exhibition called "BLACK INDIANS DE LA NOUVELLE-ORLÉANS," and this artwork was created based on the exhibition's brochure.
The Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac is wonderful, and I spent a whole day there, so if you ever have the chance to visit Paris, be sure to check it out!
Since it's postcard-sized, it's perfect for gifting!
