I was worried that, since it had been a while since my last exhibition, people might have forgotten about me. However, many who had seen my previous shows came to visit, and I also had many new encounters. It turned out to be a truly enjoyable 20th anniversary solo exhibition!
Thanks to the excellent location at Shibuya Hikarie, the summer holiday season, and the increase in foreign tourists, over 1,100 visitors were able to see my works.
It was also an important opportunity to share the stories and concepts behind my pieces.
The most popular work this time was actually the one that is hardest to convey in photos, which I think highlights the joy of seeing the real thing in an exhibition.
Since my works are generally difficult to capture in photographs 😅, please come and see them in person at future exhibitions if possible! I will continue creating pieces that surprise and delight. 🧵
